There are many pros and cons of a less private world. (obviously right?)

Pros

• You can monitor what other people are doing.
• You're aware of what's going to happen, when it's going to happen.
• You can advertise new products, and make money if people are interested.

Cons

• People are able to watch your every move. (creepy eh?)
• You never know what people around you are saying about you based on what they see or hear.
• People would know every detail of your life. in the end, everyone will be judging you on ecerything. you won't be able to trust anything or anyone.

In conclusion, I don't think having a less private world is very good. People do have the right to keep things to themselves.

                There are many pros as well as many cons of being in a reality show. This document will talk about three main pros and three main cons to give you an idea of what people in reality shows go through.

Three main pros of being on camera twenty four seven are being paid, more people know you and people can see a side of you that not many people can see.  Most people are paid for sitting around and living their life. Being on T.V. would also make you known to the world. You may also receive special treatment because of this.

                Three main cons of being on camera twenty four seven are you receive less privacy, it could bring out the worst of you, and you have to live with what you say and do with everyone knowing for the rest of your life. When you have a camera on you twenty four seven you would have little time for yourself and the whole world can see what you are doing all the time. Everyone would be able to remember what you did and they would judge you before they even know you.

                These pros and cons are what all people who live in a reality show experience on a day to day basis. Their lives are not always great, but not always bad either.

With internet getting more and more public, and people sharing more and more of their life, we are quickly losing our privacy. There are pros and cons for this more public lifestyle, and I came up with three.

Pro: People are seeing sides of each other that may never have come out before. People are braver when they are not seeing someone in person, and will say whatever comes to mind. A person who you thought was your friend may not actually be very good for you.

Con: People could not keep even their most private or embarrassing secrets. This may make people judge them unfairly.

Pro: There are ways to advertise, and make money when you have an audience.

Con: People could take advantage of having an audience to exploit or slander other people. This would be very unfair to the other person, because people would believe the person who slandered them.

Pro: You can show off your talents to people who may never have seen them before, giving you a chance at fame, especially if you are shyer in person.

Con: Health risks! Having your life on display for strangers to judge could, and has, driven people crazy.

4th question

A tv show that relies on technology is back to the future.

Back to the future is a movie about a kid that ends up going back in time...he then messes up the time stream by making his mom, as a teenager, to fall in love with him instead of his father.

This movie is about a guy that goes into a video game and has to get out before he is traped in it forever. This movie involves technology because he is sucked into a video game that is in a arcade.

All of this techno is not good for these kids that use it all day. i think that we should not have to do all of this internet work it is bad for our brain. It thinks that you should only be on the computers for two hours a day. But some kids are on there all day every day for months at a time. Then there is me an hour a day is lots for me. Being on the computers to much is bad for your eyes because it and that is why kids shouldn’t be all of this techno.

4th question

My technology movie is click because Adam Sandler uses a remote that allows him to rewinded and fast-forward time. The remote uses technology.

In the future, there is a video game that allows you to control a character, and live a whole other life, surviving the sessions.

This film follows Taylor Hillridge, a teenage girl who receives a computer for her birthday from her mom. Taylor is excited at the independance of being able to go online without her mother always watching her. However, Taylor soon finds herself the victim of cyberbullying when she becomes the member of a social website. She is afraid to face her friends, including her best friend Samantha, and is pushed to a breaking point. Taylor tries to commit suicide by overdosing with pills, but she can't get the cap off, and is sent ot the hospital. Taylor's mom learns from the incident and takes on the school system and state legislation to prevent others from going through the same thing as her daughter.

Hey hey hey. Looky here. It's a question about technology! Well. How has technology changed us? Over the past few years, because of technology, EVERYONE HAS CHANGED. This world is a totally different place. Because of all the websites like Facebook, Twitter, Myspace, etc, everyone is on those websites instead of actually getting out into the real world and meeting new people. Now a days, basically EVERYWHERE I go, everybody has iPhones and Blackberries. Like, get real. The teens of this generation are so busy on their phones and computers and iPods, that they've forgotten about the good qualities that the real world has to offer. With all the chat rooms and social networking websites, teens don't get out into the real world to meet new friends. For some people, facebook is pretty much their life. I do alot of facebooking, and twittering, but i try my best to get out too. I am one of the people with a cellphone, and an iPod. But like unlike others, i only spend a small fraction of my day on facebook. If I'm lucky i can go on my laptop maybe once a day. But back to the technology. Technology has good aspects, but also has sevral bad aspects. Technology and social networking websites, like Facebook, Myspace, Twitter and other sites, are good help for connecting with friends and staying in touch. They are also ways to meet new people. But, they are also ways to get into trouble. Alot of arguments and bullying break out on facebook. Bullying let alone can lead to drastic measures. But in conclusion, technology has many aspects of change. Some good, and some bad.

i think the problem with people is that they all spend to much time on there cell phones, ipods, video games, facebook, or whatever they use that is related to technology. this generation is corrupted by the whole facebook and twitter thing it has made people lazy becuase they dont want to use proper grammar and they are aways using slang and abrieveations. i dont know why so many people are addicted to there computers and facebook pages and what some posted i just don't see the point to all of it. Even  the way people act can change if they play to many video games or spend to much time on the computer. Something that could help this, is to cut back on the time you spend on your computer. these are a few of my oppinions on the technology today.

Topic; how technology is changing our society for better or for worse?

Technology, it is not necessarily a good thing or bad thing. It depends on how it is used. I think it could actually be a really good thing to make contact with long lost friends and family members. It can also be bad thing if you don’t use it responsibly like using it to chat with strangers, to the point you get in deep trouble with it or if you use it to cyber bully. Technology is not usually always computer things, it can be the tv you watch at home to the cell phone you use to text a friend.

There are a lot of things that technology has that help us too. Technology is the way we can find a cure for cancer or find a new treatment for it.

Technology can be a great thing but also a bad thing you just have to learn to use it responsibly.

I think that the tecnolgy is a good thing becauise you can talk to friends that you haven't seen in a long time but it is also bad because people when you have to talk to some one you could be scraed to talk to them because you haven't talked to people face to face. People should right more letters to people once in a will in stilled of sending an mail. But it is ok to sended a mail to people because it is faster then an letter.

In my opinion this society has changed in so many ways that we no longer no how to have a good conversation on the phone or face-to-face. Now the conversations are down to hey, what’s up, nothing much you? I don’t think this is good for our society because we now are spending money on all these fancy iPods or cell phones when we have a house phone. These can be helpful if you have a car or you need to get a hold of your parents but we are using them for the wrong reasons in my opinion. Some people choose to live this way and doesn’t change their life’s that have been corrupted by facebook second life and YouTube and twitter. When people are sitting beside their friends and they get bored so they text their friends they aren’t with and then they waste the time with the friends that they want to be with and then they wonder why they didn’t get to talk to each other.

Technology

 To answer the question, no, I do not think technology is not good for our society. But I also think that it could be used for the better. People are forgetting the basics of writing and are getting bad marks in classes because of it. It is true that people are becoming less and less social, or becoming more social; sometimes too social.  Constantly being on the internet or TV or cell phones, will (in time) ruin your brain. Texting all of the time could and will give you cancer if you are constantly on it. People can also hack into your computer and change your password so that you cannot get on, and they can pretend that they are you and ruin friendships or relationships. Technology can also be used as a good thing. For example you can use it to communicate with family members or friends that are far away. Or when you are out of school and you don’t see them.

Third question

I think it is good and bad. it is good because you can get in touch with friends you havent seen for a long time or a friend that movied away. Facebook is a good site because your friends are the only ones that can see your new posts or pictures if you block the other people. This technology can also be bad because of sex predators that talk you might talk to without nowing like in twitter or texting them .

I think that people that have lives like this are wasting their time because they could say that they have “friends” but if they don’t know them or have ever met them they aren’t there friends, at least in my opinion. This is hurting society because if all people were like this the people of the world would have terrible face to face social lives.

Also, if everyone was like this the people of the world would be so unhealthy. They would never be able to get a real job. The only jobs they could get would be on the computer but still then they would always be on facebook. Now that there is all these chat sites, and Xbox Live people are using them more than anything and that is hurting the society a lot more than it should. This is my opinion on what technology is doing to the world.

People are starting to right there work they way they talk in text messages and on face book. People are starting to talk online instead of face to face they are usually locked up in their rooms on the computer instead of talking to the person in real life. People are misspelling words more and more because they are so used to spelling words like they do in text messages. People are becoming less social face to face and more social behind a computer. They are starting to add people they haven’t meet or haven’t talk to in person before.

This technology is good for our society..however it is being abused!!! The technology is good because it helps us keep in touch with people from all over the world. However i see lots of people texting each otehr when there only 3 feet away....
that is ridiculous!!! If we keep on abusing technology our life spans will get much shorter and we will become an awful society. We also use technology way to much... i am infront of a screen for most of a day usually. It is sad but it keeps me entertained. However technology is very helpful for certain activities...such as volleyball scorekeeping and it is a great way to time sports. Another sport is helps alot in is curling. They have sensors in the rock to let you know if you held on to it for to long. Technology can be helpful in many different ways. However it is being abused immensely throughtout the world. One last thing it helps is for the government. We use the new technology to talk to other countries and keep us on track for dates and important meetings.

over the years our nature has been evolving and thats what nature is, evoulution, so when technology first came out with the computer or the calculator, it's just the way were developed, we crave the knowledge around us and can't stop obssessing over it.
obsessions are what make inventions, our obssesion of the intenet is remarkable as us humans try acknowledge, and everyone around it collect there information of reality from the internet, as part of this society i think the internet is decent for this world but not good because we get too much information from the internet and getting too much information can cause series of unfortunate events.
these events invlove things already happening global conspiracies, sex predotors, kidnappings, child poronography, internet schemes, money making schemes, how to make bombs, how does the judicial system work, whos president of the united states. stuff like this gives ideas in peoples minds, thinking they know everything and try to use that knowledge and turn it into action.

A person being constantly involved with technology isn’t bad but it isn’t good. The reason I say it isn’t bad is that it allows people to stay in touch with each other. For example if you have family somewhere far away, there are many ways that you can stay in touch with them. I have family that goes away for work. Me and my family use Facebook to stay in contact with them.

Technology is also changing our society in a bad way. People are forgetting how to write properly, because of all of the texting and chatting online people are too used to slang, and they use it in their everyday writing. It’s also stopping people from talking face to face because they can contact each other online or through a cell phone. Technology prevents people from physical activity.

I think technology is changing the world we live in for better and worse.  For example, I had lost contact with one of my childhood best friends when I left British Columbia, but I was able to reconnect with her via Face Book. We did not have each other’s phone numbers or mailing addresses, so we weren’t able to communicate, until she found be on Face Book. 

It is defiantly changing our society for the worse. It is hard to hang out with people when they are all just bent over their iPhones and Blackberries texting other people who aren’t there. I don’t have a cell phone, so I always feel left out when this happens. People are spending their lives chatting with people they already know, making no attempt to make new friends out in the real world.

Technology is just getting started, and it will keep getting more and more invasive into our lives, so we need to learn to use it in moderation to enhance, not deplete our lives.

Some reasons for why technology is changing our society for the better includes, it is allowing us to communicate with far away relatives as well as make new friends from all around the world, it cost less than making long distant calls, and it is much easier to do. Technology is also changing our society for the worse for blank main reasons, these reasons are making people lazier because they don’t have to travel anywhere to talk to others, technology is making our grammar worse with “text talk,” when chatting with others you do not really know who you are talking to for sure as well as you lose emotion in your text, and there are many people who may be trying to take advantage of you.
